Changing your Legal Name

Changing your legal name is a two-step process.  First you need to update the information in Workday.   
 
To update your name in Workday, follow these steps:
 
1. Log into Workday by clicking the link: https://wd5.myworkday.com/daymoninteractions/login.htmld    
2. Upon logging in, you will need to click the "Employee - All About Me" circle.
3. Under Change, click on "Legal Name"
4.  Enter in the changes to your name.
5. Click the green "Submit" button at the bottom of the page.  
6. Click the orange "Done" button at the bottom of the page.
**Please note, if you stop here, this change will not be completed. Please continue to follow the next steps.
 
7. Click on the cloud in the top right corner of the screen.
8. Click on Inbox.
9. Click on the action “To Do: Legal Name Change”.
10. Click the green "Submit" button at the bottom of the page.  
 
Another page will appear letting you know that all changes were successfully completed and submitted to your Human Resources Partner.   
 
Secondly, you will need to provide legal documentation (this includes new social security card, passport, driver’s license, etc.) to either your Manager or your Human Resources Partner before the name change will be approved in the system.  

**Your request will go to your Human Resources Partner for approval. Your name will be changed once your request has been approved.**
 
If you do not know your Workday login information to complete this change, please submit a ticket so these can be sent to you at the email listed on file.
